Parent Carer Foundation provides a central voice for Parents and Carers of children and adults of all ages with SEN / complex learning / medical needs and all kinds of disabilities. The Foundation monitors and helps shape participation and awareness with parents and carers.
We have influenced and shaped current and future service provision for families and carers. We have raised awareness about Parents and carers real concerns with a collective voice. The Foundation will also signpost Parents and Carers regarding health, education, social services, carers strategic groups and other agencies in and around Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and surrounding areas.
“Parent Carer Foundation is led and run by a small volunteer team, all of these volunteers have faced or are dealing with real-life experiences and are empathetic with the issues, isolation and challenges that you are facing each day”
The PCF Team
We are working in partnership with a variety of local and national organisations to make sure that services are accessible and available to meet the needs of children, carers and their families. We aim to build strong and sustainable links to further enhance the voices of parents and carers with regard to their issues and concerns.
Our steering group meets four times a year and consists of Parents, Carers and Professionals, so together we have a stronger voice that can work towards improving the lives of families, children and young people with disabilities. We can achieve this by putting forward your concerns and issues to relevant key policymakers and service providers.
Parent Carer Foundation is privately funded and donations are welcome, without your help, we could not continue.
Agencies
PCF continues to work with health, education, social care, and various other local, national organisations/agencies, in both a sign-posting (referral) capacity and as a mouth-piece, representing all members, parents and carers.
